Miniature Monday - With Fists Held High

It's a special Miniature Monday today, as we reveal a miniature nearly lost to the ages. Back in March, we showed told the tale of the Havoc Mech-Rat and Ruin Mech-Rat from DemonBlade Games' Shock Force line, and how we managed to acquire these rare miniatures. This week, we're happy to be able to show off the full set of scans for one of them, known to Injurius Games fans as the Big Fister. We haven't been able to figure out which rat was originally which, but we'll keep trying to solve the mystery. However, since there are multiple limbs and heads that are (or will be) interchangeable, our current plan is to release both Mech Rats as a combined set, so you can decide how to assemble them.
We revealed the Big Fister's body in our first post about it, but here it is again as a reminder.

What's new are the rest of the scans, including the clawed left arm, minigun right arm, head, and tail.

As mentioned in our previous post, and you can now see, these scans will take a bit more work than the others to make them ready for printing. In this case, the limitation is the original models, not the scans themselves. Part of the reason we believe these miniatures were prototypes is the fragility of certain parts of the models, as well as a few features that appear to be temporary measures that would be improved before full production. The Big Fister is the clearest example of this. The left arm has a ball joint, but the corresponding socket on the body looks to have been enlarged by hand, while the minigun arm had a small peg and what appears to be a hand-drilled hole in the body for it to attach to. The peg and socket for the head are similar. In addition, the hanging ammo belt for the minigun barely survived the casting process, and would likely be difficult to print without breakage issues. While our goal with the Wargames Resurrectionist project is to capture miniatures exactly as they were released, warts and all, this is a special case. Since we own the rights to these miniatures instead of holding them under license, we plan to make the improvements we expect would've been made before these miniatures went into production. Mainly, the arm sockets on the body will be expanded into a universal size that matches the other Mech Rat body, the minigun will be mounted on a ball joint for a wider degree of motion, and the ammo belt will be reinforced. The head and tail will also be separated from the metal sprue they share, for ease of printing.
Stop by next week as we continue the Mech Rat reveals.
