Miniature Monday - Successful Prints and Convention News

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another Miniature Monday. As promised last week, we have been hard at work test printing and improving our settings for optimal results. After some experimentation, we have achieved some very promising results, especially for a filament printer.

As you can see, these results are much better than our previous efforts, and show how important it is to persevere when things get difficult. By returning to our earlier choice of filament and experimenting with new support structures, we were able to drastically improve the final miniatures. There are still some support scars, which will always be an issue with 3d printed models, but when seen at a common tabletop distance they are barely noticeable. We will continue working to improve the quality of our final product, and are very happy with the quality we're achieving. The thing we are most impressed with is that these miniatures were printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and standard PLA filament. This means that anyone with a 3d printer should be able to achieve these results without any special tools or materials. When the files are printed in resin, the results will be even better.

Besides success with our test prints, we are also happy to announce that we will be attending CanGames this year, as we have for the last several years. This small, local Ottawa gaming convention is held in May every year, and we invite all tabletop gaming fans in the area to stop by our table during the weekend of "friendly mayhem."

Not only will we be attending the convention, but our award-winning author, Kyle Bentley, will be signing copies of his books and chatting about his progress on the third installment in the Age of Entropy series. We will also be running demoes of Trinity: Battleground for interested gamers, who may just walk away with a souvenir for trying out the game...

Stay tuned for more exciting updates next week!
