Miniature Monday - Nazul is Forewarned and Four-Armed
Welcome back to another Miniature Monday! Today it's time to reveal the leader of The Unforgiven Aberrant cadre included in the Trinity: Battleground box set, who also happened to be its most powerful member. Let's take a look at the massive and imposing Nazul.
Nazul was a big miniature, towering over most other Aberrants and all but one Psion (who we'll reveal another day), and barely fitting on his base. He was available as a resin miniature in the core Trinity: Battleground box set, as well as an individual metal miniature in a blister pack. At Caste 3, he was the most powerful Aberrant in the box, as well as the most expensive model with a hefty point cost of 280. Despite his impressive bulk, he was no mere brute. His Mental and Social attributes were both 6, putting him well above both his cadremates and any member of Strike Team Anvil. Even Cameron, the Psion leader included in the box, couldn't match Nazul's intellect or force of personality. Neither could he match the Aberrant's psionic might, as he had an astounding 12 Psi Points and enough Action Points to use them freely. Nazul backed up his intimidating stature with a range of powerful Psi Powers, some of them already familiar to Miniature Monday readers and others brand new. He shared the Plasma Blast, Double, and Synaptic Disruption powers with Lucifer, but that wasn't all. His horrific Boil power, let him cook his enemies from the inside out, doing little damage but completely ignoring all forms of armour. The unlucky target could only rely on their natural toughness for defence. Nazul's Tumorous Appearance was grotesque enough to act as a defence, causing any Psion attacking him in close combat to suffer a penalty to hit. Perhaps his most surprising power, and one that showed he cared for his cadremates as more than disposable pawns, was Ranged Healing. In a game where every point of damage mattered, the ability to mend his allies wounds and keep them in the fight was potentially game-winning. Besides these formidable mental powers, the Aberrant leader rounded out his arsenal with a few simple but effective mutations. His Extra Arms weren't just for show, and allowed him to make punishing close combat attacks, while he was protected by Armored Plates that could absorb significant damage.
Nazul was both a powerful model and an impressive centrepiece for any Aberrant cadre, and we look forward to seeing many gamers adding him to their collections soon. Stop by next week for another reveal.
