Miniature Monday - Lucifer Haunts the Battlefield
This Miniature Monday, we are breaking things up with a look at another Aberrant, and not just any Aberrant. Aptly named, Lucifer was as strange to look at as he was terrifying on the battlefield.
Released as a metal miniature in his own individual blister pack, Lucifer's twisted, contorted form was a strange sight. Much like Naushka, his strange body was a mark of terrible power, as they were both 4th Caste Aberrants. Among the most powerful miniatures ever released for Trinity: Battleground, what Lucifer lacked in intimidating natural weapons he made up for with an arsenal of deadly Psi Powers. He could attack enemies at long range with a Plasma Blast or Icy Blast, both dealing significant damage, while enemies who tried to surround him were punished with a brutal Nova attack that hit everything in a wide radius. He was also capable of debilitating enemy Psions by using Transmutation to strip them of their armour. Even more frightening was his Synaptic Disruption power, which left a target who failed a contest of wills so confused they had to skip their next activation entirely. For defence, Lucifer could create an illusionary Double to confuse his opponents and inflict a heavy penalty on their attack rolls. Lastly, and perhaps most terrifyingly, Lucifer could keep fighting even when he should have long since died. His Resistance power gave him a chance to stay active even after being reduced to 0 health. This was a good thing, since his only defensive equipment was his Flexible Skin mutation.
All told, Lucifer was not a mutant a Psion player wanted to see across the table, and we look forward to seeing how Aberrant players use him in their battle plans once the game re-releases.
