Miniature Monday - Gomorrah Shakes the Battlefield

Today's miniature scan is still a work in progress, but we still couldn't wait to show off the mighty Gomorrah!
Gomorrah was included as a resin miniature in the Trinity: Battleground base set, as well as a metal miniature in a separate blister pack. No matter the material, this mighty Aberrant towered over other characters and significantly overhung his base. His attributes reflected his impressive stature, with his Close Combat of 5 being the highest among the base set Aberrants. Despite his bulk, he was no slouch in other areas either, with his Dexterity, Ranged and Heavy Weapons of 6 tying with Fhata Khan as the highest in the base set. Backing up his impressive attributes, he had a number of useful mutations and powers. His Tortoise Shell gave him formidable protection against enemy attacks, and his Bulging Muscles helped his own punches land for impressive damage. Enemies who tried to keep away from his mighty fists found themselves blasted with his Laser Eyes (or eye, in his case). His powers focused on making the most of his already impressive combat abilities, with Crushing Blow allowing him to hit even harder in melee combat, and Incredible Vision significantly increasing the accuracy of critical attacks. Altogether, Gomorrah struck terror into the hearts of Psions that faced him, and soon he will stride once more onto the battlefield.
After so many mentions of the battlefields the Psions and their Abberant foes fight across, it's time to mention the terrain that came in the base box set. Trinity: Battleground came with an impressive assortment of cardboard terrain, including a landing platform, bunker and watch tower with a walkway to connect them, two fuel tanks, and a set of three low defensive walls. In addition, the box included two painted and flocked foam hills to add additional elevation. For players who wanted to fully stock their battlefields, additional packs of cardboard terrain, as well as a variety of foam hills, were also sold separately.
These pieces of terrain, and any others a player added, had important effects on the game. Rules were included for taking cover, climbing onto buildings or over obstacles, and gaining benefits from holding the high ground (Obi-Wan would be proud). There were even rules for blowing up the fuel tanks to damage nearby models.
We couldn't ignore such a fundamental part of the game when resurrecting it, and so our digital release of the box set will include PDF files for players to print out on assemble. Styrofoam hills aren't as easy to reproduce digitally, but we plan to include templates of the same size for players to make their own. In case some gamers want the terrain but not Trinity: Battleground itself, we will also make the terrain available separately.
That's all for this week. Join us next time for another exciting reveals, and a brief discussion of the rules of the game.
