The Ratz Skitter into the Injurius Games Arena

Ratz is a supplement for Injurius Games, and adds the numerous and unpredictable Ratz as another squad option. Any player can choose to play Ratz instead of the regular Injurius Games squad, replacing the usual power-armored Legionnaires with a pack of eight maniacal rodents. Each Ratz squad consists of:

·       The Buzz: A rat in primitive power armor, armed with a buzz saw that is deadly in melee or at range, as well as a rat wrench which can be upgraded to repair the weapons of squad mates or wreck those of opponents.

·       The Klaw: One of the squad’s two leaders, armed with a triple-threat flamer that emits massive gouts of flame, and an electro klaw for close combat.

·       The Street Rat Grenadier: A demolitionist rat who carries a satchel of hand grenades and a double-barrel grenade launcher to fill the arena with explosions.

·        The Big Fister: Another power-armored rat, equipped with a micro minigun to hose down opponents at range and a powerful nut crusher fist to demolish them up close.

·       The Litter Agitator: The second leader of the squad, dangerous at any range with his micro minigun and ceramic sword.

·       The Broiler: A third rat in power armor, wielding the same rat wrench as buzz, as well as a plasma broiler to incinerate the enemy.

·       The Rat Mutie: A huge, mutated rat carrying a punishing gatling cannon capable of blowing through even the toughest armor.

·       The Street Rat Soldier: A tiny, agile rat armed with twin Ratz machine pistols.

What does Ratz Bring to the Table?

Ratz are swift and tricky fighters, armed with cobbled-together weapons. Their equipment is crudely made and prone to malfunction, but they counter this by bringing more squad members (and more weapons) than most other teams. Their unique strengths and disadvantages create a vastly different play experience than any other squad.

·       Command Points: Ratz are not the best strategists. Both the Klaw and the Litter Agitator are leaders, but each only generates half as many command points as other squads. Additionally, they activate on specific cards, instead of choosing on what card to activate like other leaders.

·       Scrapyard Equipment: Ratz weapons are cobbled-together and often barely work. Any time a Rat rolls a ‘1’ on an attack roll, his weapon suffers a malfunction. Similarly, their patchwork armor degrades every time it protects against an attack.

·       Swarm of Bodies: Ratz take to the arena in surprising numbers. Every Ratz squad consists of eight models instead of the usual five, and activates two of their models every time one of their cards is drawn. This allows them to easily out flank and outmaneuver other squads.

·       Swift and Sneaky: Ratz are quick and agile, relying on speed more than toughness to survive in the arena. Ratz move quickly, are difficult to hit, and can scatter to avoid area or zone attacks.

·       Surprisingly Deadly: Ratz can attack with their razor-sharp teeth in melee, in addition to any close combat weapons they carry, and gain bonuses from ganging up on opponents.

·       Easily Replaced: Replacement Ratz are easy to find and equip. Any time a rat is killed, his replacement gains his weapon, suit, and bionic upgrades. Skill upgrades are still lost, though.

·       Unique Power-Up Table: Ratz use their own customized power-up table to determine what they find in the arena.

·       Advanced and Optional Rules: Ratz includes the Time on Target, Hatred, and Multiple Attack rules from Meck Wars, as well as the Autohit rules from Space Orx. In addition, optional changes to grenades and grenade launchers are included, in case players want to use them.
