The Spiders Turn Injurius Games into a Bug Hunt
Phaze Spiders from the 5th Dimension is a supplement for Injurius Games, and adds the uncanny Phaze Spiders as an additional squad choice. Any player can choose to play Phaze Spiders instead of the regular Injurius Games squad, replacing veteran power-armored Legionnaires with a horde of psychic arachnid horrors from beyond our reality. Each Phaze Spider squad consists of:
· The Tlisky: A huge leader spider who spits webs that can damage and impede the enemy.
· Any Four Vorpeeds, chosen from the list below:
o Vorpeed - Venter: The “standard” spider, armed with a deadly acid spit attack.
o Vorpeed - Shocker: A spider with an electrical arc that does little damage, but has a chance to cause critical hits on any target struck.
o Vorpeed - Bullnose: A melee specialist spider with a brutal bite and a short-range plasma attack to use at it closes.
o Vorpeed – Jammer: A spider that can fire bursts of microwaves, inaccurate, but capable of ignoring most defenses.
o Vorpeed – Tlisk: A failed Tlisky, able to spit the same webs, but without the larger spider’s leadership ability.
What does Phaze Spiders from the 5th Dimension Bring to the Table?
Phaze Spiders are tricky, mobile opponents who excel at outmaneuvering their opponents and destroying them at close range. They generally lack long-range weapons, and do not share the Orx raw physical combat power, but their formidable psychic powers, ability to skitter over terrain, and armored exoskeletons even the odds.
· Command Points: Tliskys generate command points in the same way as Injurius Games gladiators, but their hive mind means they spend only half as many points to issue orders.
· Phase Armor: In addition to APAC like those of IG gladiators, Phaze Spiders all naturally possess phase armor. This powerful defensive ability is less reliable than other protective measures, but allows the spider a chance at ignoring almost any attack.
· Damage Reduction: As if their phase armor wasn’t enough, Phaze Spiders have thick exoskeletons that reduces the damage of any attack that strikes them.
· Arachnid Mobility: Phaze Spiders are more mobile than any other squad, ignoring movement penalties for most forms of terrain, scaling up completely vertical surfaces, and ignoring movement penalties for making attacks.
· Unique Power-Up Table: Phaze Spiders who find a power-up in the arena roll on their own table of strange powers and abilities.
· Advanced Rules: Phaze Spiders from the 5th Dimension also contains the Time on Target, Hatred, and Multiple Attack rules from Meck Wars, as well as the Autohit rules from Space Orx, to add more options to any Injurius Games battle.
