Miniature Monday - Updates, News, and a Furrious Announcement

It's Miniature Monday once again and there's a lot to talk about, so we're going to jump right in. Firstly, this will be the last Miniature Monday post until September 22nd, as the Faceless team is taking a hard-earned vacation. Rest assured, we'll be right back to work afterward to finish the last stages of the Trinity: Battleground resurrection!

Second, a status update. The Trinity: Battleground rulebook is currently with Onyx Path for review and approval, and we're hoping to hear some good news soon. Assuming approval is given without any major changes requested, the second most labour-intensive part of the project will be finished. Speaking of the most labour intensive part, we've received the repaired scan of the last miniature and are performing our final reviews. If everything passes our inspection, the models will be sent for approval, and then to a partner to be pre-supported for printing. The remaining elements of the game should be completed in short order, and once everything is approved we can finally get the game back out into the world!

Third, a big announcement we hinted at last month. Faceless Publishing has acquired the rights to the Goth Rats line of miniatures, originally released by Demon Blade Games in the 1998!

These twenty models were sculpted by Chaz Elliott and are full of character and late-90's charm. They were originally created for the Shock Force miniatures game, but could see use in a range of RPGs or wargames. After Demon Blade Games closed down, the Goth Rats found a home at Mega Miniatures, and some later made their way to Lone Gunman Games. Now, we've brought the whole line together again, including a pair of miniatures that never went into full production. After nearly thirty years, these two nearly lost sculpts will finally see a full-fledged release! Unlike with Trinity: Battleground, we own the Goth Rats outright, along with associated art commissioned by Johnny Lauck of Mega Miniatures fame.

Owning the line entirely opens up a range of exciting possibilities for potential projects down the road, but our initial focus will be making the line available through STLs and 3d printing, similar to our rerelease of Trinity: Battleground. We don't own the rights to any other Shock Force lines, but many of the miniatures are available from other manufacturers and the rules can still be found on Wargame Vault. If Shock Force doesn't strike your fancy and you're looking for another game to use the Goth Rats in, stay tuned for another upcoming announcement. We have some more news that might interest you...
