Miniature Monday - Jon Holt Tends to the Wounded, Plus an Announcement!
There's a lot to go over in this week's Miniature Monday, but first, we'd like to start off by wishing everyone a very Happy Easter! We hope everyone had a pleasant and joyful long weekend, and though some people may have Easter Monday off, we've been hard at work. Let's start the announcements off with a look at another Trinity: Battleground miniature, the Psion Jon Holt.
Jon Holt was originally released as a metal miniature in a blister pack alongside Montrose. While his scruffy beard, muscle-patterned armour, and stance might make him look like a pugilist, he was far from it. Jon Holt was a Tier 2 Psion, and the only one released with training in the Vitakinesis Aptitude, which focused on healing. His Mending Psi Power allowed him to heal wounds or stabilize dying characters with a mere touch, while the same same Aptitude could be used offensively to cause Contusions in enemies that caused light damage but ignored armour. His control over his own body also granted him Heightened Reflexes, allowing him to spend Psi points to gain additional Action Points when he needed a burst of speed to reach an injured comrade. Jon Holt's unique look came from his equipment, which included a sturdy Bioweave Vest that provided considerable protection. The Las-Gauntlet mounted on his left arm was the most devastating piece of Psion equipment short of heavy weapons, and his was Psi-Formatted so he could spend Psi points to make his attacks even more accurate. Lastly, he carried a Large Medi-Kit to assist him in quickly getting wounded Psions back in the fight. None of his attributes were particularly impressive, but his Firearms skill helped increase his accuracy, while Medicine allowed him to provide healing even when he was out of Psi points. He was a valuable asset on the battlefield, able to keep his allies fighting even after suffering serious wounds, and taking the fight to the enemy if needed. Unfortunately, his versatility and powerful equipment also made him costly in terms of points. He was the most expensive Tier 2 Psion released, and was even more expensive than many Tier 3s! Still, we're sure many players will find room for him in their strike teams when he is re-released later this year.
This may be a Miniature Monday article, but we have other news to share as well. Firstly, as you may have noticed, we've updated our logo! The overall look has stayed the same, but the new logo is smoother and more refined. We will be sticking with the new image moving forward, and all our current offerings have been updated to match. Out with the old and in with the new!
While updating our product line, we took the opportunity to make another change to our Age of Entropy novels. The cover of each one now proudly displays their award-winning status! Hopefully there will be many more accolades to come.
Stop by next week for more exciting announcements!
